RESCATES/RESCUES

Estuve recortando cartones, dibujando, pintando, atando hilos, y haciendo colgantes. los llamé "Rescates".
Es mi primer post del año, pero en realidad, esto lo hice en diciembre de 2013

I was cutting cardboard, drawing, painting, tying thread and making pendants. I called "Rescues".
It's my first post of the year, but really, I did this in December 2013

Wonderful Roberto! I love how playful these are and the contrast of white on that gray cardboard is really lovely :)

It's nice to know (and see) that someone's ready to rescue you, this makes you braver and stronger.
I like your pendants very much, Roberto! Hope you'll make some more...
Maybe the thread is a hint that these are acrobats, but for me it also represents the connection between people in love...
You've shown the impulse to catch, to hold tight. This stop motion gives me freedom to imagine the next movement and the next, and the next one...
By the way (again a thread effect!) somewhere I'm not quite sure who's rescuing who.:D (1 and 4 ). Love the women's hair!
"Hi!" and "Bye!" for the first time this year!:)))xx

The thread is thin and looks fragile. The figures are floating in a black universe like stars or planets. The title of this work makes it so intriguing. They rescue each other, and that makes the connection strong. Trust is what does it when you feel like an acrobat hanging on a single thread.
And furthermore, I find it wonderful how your creativity evolves and develops. It seems you go on and on. You grab everything around you and make it into your artwork. You are a true finder of things. You find a way to express yourself no matter what. It's great! XXWW!!

Hedwig is absolutely right about you, Roberto - you never stop to explore, to try new methods, to create and enjoy the process!
I like her reflections about thread and trust.:))

These are great! Rescued tied to rescuer by tenuous connections, floating exposed in space. Cardboard is such a versatile medium. All the best to you in the New Year!

Me gusta esa capacidad tuya de poder hacer tanto con tan poco. Chapeau, Ro :)

He Roberto, these figures are fun :)) I wanted to give a reaction on your Numen post, but blogger gave me a blank page, so I scrolled down and saw these reaching figures, I'm glad. I hope your Numen is back again...
