OCÉANO/OCEAN (IF)

if I say that you are my ocean
I will see in you the reflection of the moon,
the lights of all night boats,
and the sun rising in the morning.
in you, dizzying  storms
in you, the tumultuous depth
in you, the absolute calm.

and I will be a drop of salt water
a grain of sand,
a dead shell on the sand.

and I will not exist without my ocean
coming and going to my beach.

I love it! The words are so beautiful and so sad at the same time and the drawing with those words written over her body (Flash! haha), wonderful post! wish you a good weekend my dear blog-friend!

The poem is so very romantic, so from the heart. It's really charming. I find the images I get from the words more beautiful than the painted image. The lady on thee beach, she is nice. Her curves follow the shoreline. The sketchy birds are beautiful too, but the sun...? and the moon in that black frame...? and the the letters... No I do not like the letters. I find them disturbing the poetical mood of the poem. They belong in a different world. I hope you don't mind my saying so. Ï have to be honest to a friend, Bye Hedwig.

I really love the effect of using a book and a drawing over it, it is so charming and me I always start fantasizing, so you give stories more than in the book more than in the drawing more than in your beautiful and touching poem.
great!
may I invite you to the next drawing challenge?
I´m the host, would be nice to meet you there!

This is Poetry! And a true confession in love! I imagine that the idea and the excitement had "caught" you unexpectedly, so you took the paper that was closer to you - and this makes the impact of the drawing stronger for me!8-)
