MAESTRO/TEACHER

La vida es el maestro, sabías?
Cuanto más caminás, más aprendés,
y aunque a veces la lección lastima,
siempre aprendemos.
Otras veces las lecciones agradables pasan desapercibidas,
pero no debemos permitir que esto ocurra,
la vida es una sola,
y el arrepentimiento es solamente un rayo de sol entre nubes de tormenta.

Life is the teacher, did you know?
the more you walk, the more you learn,
and although sometimes the lesson hurts us,
we always learn.
Other times the enjoyable lessons go unnoticed,
but we must not to allow this happens,
life is a single
and repentance is only a ray of sunshine between storm clouds.

En la vida puedes hacer experiencia o dinero. Las dos cosas es muy difícil que las hagas.
Yo hice un montóoooon de experiencia.
¿Et tu, Roberto?
Abrazos totales.

Very good illustration for this topic, Roberto--so many roads taken in life--teaching us as we go along.

Uh oh... one guy fell down. That's what happens to me a lot. Paint over me and redraw me standing up again. I need all the help I can get.

I like this painting about life's journey. It's more clear to me now; If you fall, try to fall ONTO the road, but don't fall OFF the road, it's a long way down.

Great interpretation of the theme. I was looking for the teacher character from your illustration until I read the text... perfect!

Wow! The words are so meaningful. What bigger teacher than life? We all attend the school of life, lovely illustrations, I'm so happy to read your posts every now and then.

I like the way you think and the way you make us think too.

What a great concept! All those people trying to find their way. Walking is a nice symbol. When I feel bad, I walk. It makes your head clear and sometimes you get an insight and than you've learned a lesson.

a big hello from a 6 to a 4, that´s fantastic, what a pleasure to meet you - I guess that´s why you´re so sympathetic ;) Stefanie

Great take on the theme,Life's greatest lessons are taught outside the classroom ....not a teacher of theory, not a teacher of some illusive principles - but Teacher of Life.
Wonderful!!!

the words are so true and the drawing is perfect. you never know were you're road in live is going. Even if I always try to influence everything and to try to keep in control... I can't. My lesson is to let go and walk, walk, walk!

hello Roberto! I'm happy you are feeling better. :-)

Your illustrations are fabulous. I love how they are all very conceptual and always give me something to think about. So now i drink coffee and you drink "Mate". No, i've never heard of it, but i'm guessing there is alcohol involved? hehheheee... Thank you for such BEAUTIFUL illustrations. I'm glad i found your blog. xox

I could say: "The more you have walked, the more you must have learned..." But I'm not quite sure whether I'm a good student lately!:( These lessons are hard and difficult to understand sometimes, don't you think?
I like the meandering roads - we are all connected and alone at the same time...
But by all means life is the best teacher, you interpreted the theme in a wonderful way!
"The Roberto" - I like that!!!:))))

This is great! My favorite bit would be the parts where two paths meet, even if just for a little while. I like the way the long hair seems to be swinging as the people stride purposefully along. As for the one who's fallen, perhaps he's taking a nap! Nothing wrong with a nap!
