SEPARADOS/SEPARATED (IF)

We said that next year we will be separated.
I'm tired of your cold feet,
that you ask me to scratch your back...
You got tired of my two pillows,
of my mountain of books on the bedside table,
and I can not stand your needles in bed.

Next year we will be separated.

I wake you up at half past 9, right?
I prepare your breakfast,
we eat together,
work together,
at 10 pm you give me a kiss and tell ourselves until tomorrow...
But who will keep the hearts at night?
I had not thought,
a while you, a while I,
one night I, one night you,
In a box?
A candy's tin?
Will not be cold in winter?

Next year we shall be separated
but let our hearts,
continue giving heat together.

50 personas tan locas como para decir esto:

  8. (Beijing is not that much of a bicycle city anymore. There are cars everywhere, no room for cycling. But I would say there are at least 20 million bicycles because I have bought my 3rd one, more than one per person.)

  9. Back to bicycles... 9 Million Bicycles... what a sweet music video! (I must admit I'm bit uncultured when it comes to music, didn't know that song though might have heard its name).

  10. Oh, Chinese New Year is great: one week or more of continuous fireworks, never seen anything like it before coming to China. But horrible suffering for those who cant stand loud noises or have trouble sleeping. 'Western New Year' is not really a celebration here.

  15. I do not know anything about color, composition or even about textures. What does it all mean?
Maybe some hearts are blue, or black or transparent , smooth or rough , who cares...

But we have to care about what hearts feel and how how it responds to all stimuli.....is it not most important ?

But I know who keeps the hearts in soft, velvet boxes at night .....

(Blogger denied 2 times my comment !!!!!

  16. Your dog is very "linda" !!
I usually have a very big problem when I walk: I see each stones, a piece of wood, in the stump, in the clouds, in the pool, in the mud, in water a potential art piece. It is very exhausting . Than I come home and I realize I did not noticed how landscape looked like ..:(

  28. Hi R!
Your "silly" dog has a lot of admirers ! I told you, Leave him on a leash or he runs away!

Greetings to swallows. Did you count them if all of them arrived?

  29. Thanks for introducing Chantal Montellier. I wasn't familiar with her though might have read something from her. I am a big fan of graphic novels but unfortunately here in China it is really hard to get hands on them. They just have manga and their own cartoons, which are... shit... (Sorry but bad drawing and boring storylines.. :-P)

  33. I love your writing (and of course your art) Roberto! Thanks for your visit and hope you have a lovely reunion with your daughter. She will tell you how bad the weather is here at the moment! Have a good week :)

  34. Hello Roberto, well I am early for the next one, the cute dog, yet I cannot comment, that's fine I can comment here. Well with regards to the grid and the hearts in the box, esceher on escher, but refreshingly so. It's a beautiful work, conjours up all sorts of emotional linkages, cards, romance even alice in wonderland, but we also sense that the hearts, though intertwined, are confined, and each might be unique, yes is replicated in a never ending grid that breaks past the confinements of the picture planes.

Of course, these are only what it suggests, and suggestion has far more beauty than a plain statement, eh?

Sorry you couldn't comment the other day, and then you could. I appreciate you visiting twice and picking out a favourite. Hope your day is grande and full of sweet smelling flowers.

La semana que viene tratare de contactarte por email para que me cuentes tus secretos de ceramica. E ire a tu expo! No fui inmediatamente porque esta semana a sido una locura pero te prometo ir y contarte, si es que alguien no lo ha hecho ya.

  42. I like Enki Bilal too. And I do like Japanese manga but I don't follow it actively. But Chinese cartoons are just crap - though they might be anthropologically interesting sometimes...
    Have a great weekend Roberto!!
