I would like to tell you something; actually, I would like to make a statement. In my life women have always been present, my mother, aunts, sisters in law, nieces, girlfriends, friends, daughters; and let me make this clear, I am not gay, or in the other hand a womaniser, not at all, I am straight, I have been married for more than thirty years with a woman who I love very much, and we have three children together, a boy and two girls, but something is happening to me lately...women come close to me, they attach themselves to me, they trust me, they make me their friend, if you don’t believe this just look at the amount of female followers in this blog and you’ll see! Let me tell you also that I am not “machista” either; when there is a female-male competition I always want women to win. And don’t you psychologists psychoanalyse me and tell me that I am a closet homosexual, I assure you and confirm you that I love women, they turn me on and I don’t desire any male in any sexual way or whatsoever. I realize that a woman is not the opposite of a man, it is a woman, I don’t compare her, I don’t measure her. Sometimes I even think that God created the woman first and then the man, and when he realised how perfect she was, he invented “machismo” to minimize his own short comings. Anyway, today I want to honour them, despite of the past (and commercialized) Women’s Day, cause to me Women’s Day is every day, and in the only field we can may be beat them it’s undoing the wheel nuts of a car or opening a jar. I ask you to put your hands together for all the women I know and I will meet. Ladies, I bow before you taking my hat off, and I love you all!.
Thanks a lot to my daughter Julia (Omapere's Princes) for the translation.
